Over the past few years, we have been improving our infrastructure and processes. As you may recall, this work has required several steps, and we have been sharing updates with you at various points along the way, both in emails and at the annual membership meetings.
The final step in this major cycle is moving to a new data center. The move will take place on Saturday, November 21, 2026, and our services will be completely offline for approximately 8 hours, from 15:00 UTC to 23:00 UTC (10:00 am - 6:00 pm New York time).
During that time, you will not be able to use email, Nextcloud, web sites, video calls, or any other service that relies on May First’s infrastructure. Please plan your activities with this outage in mind.
After the move, we’ll return with a renewed infrastructure and enthusiasm to take the next steps in improving our collective infrastructure.
